What we offer

OutFit offers 1-day group and private outdoor skills courses, on-call support sessions, and opportunities for women to connect with each other in Switzerland’s beautiful nature. 

Our “self-powered way” is designed to build outer strength, inner confidence, and self-sufficiency through any outdoor adventure.

OutFit is based in Zürich, and the amazing Swiss Alps are our playground, but virtual calls can be arranged from anywhere.

Feel free.

Leave the stresses of everyday life behind and “re-wild” your state of mind. In addition to the practical survival skills, self-powering teaches you to be comfortable with and confident in the unknown, an essential tool in the outdoors and in life.


Feel active.

Self-powering improves your strength, fitness, and endurance for the long game (this is no CrossFit). By focusing on intentional and consistent movement, you will learn to understand, trust, and love your body.


Feel happy.

Self-power in the outdoors and you will build deeper connections with nature, the community, and yourself. Whether you self-power solo or with others, you will learn to live in the moment. You’ll go over mountains and through valleys but will fall in love with the whole adventure.

My story + philosophy

Hi, I’m Heather and I specialize in moving from point A to point B. Hiking, running, cycling, swimming, skiing - whatever the mode, I believe self-powered, intentional movement builds confidence, self-reliance, curiosity, and so much more.

I founded OutFit Women’s Movement because I believe that every woman has a place in the outdoors. With a little know-how and confidence, she can do just about anything.

I’m here to help you get from wherever you are to wherever you want to go in the great outdoors.

Pop-up community events

Sometimes you need a short break in nature with some like-minded people. As a casual service for the Zürich community, we get together for a 1-2 hour spontaneous and fun nature-based activity - from sunrise hikes to foraging to workouts in the park. Unlike our 1-day and multi-day courses, there is no teaching involved, just a fun and safe outdoor experience.

Self-power through the Alps

Want a crash course in self-power? This 1-day women’s course is a combination of trail hiking and learning practical skills within a small group setting. You will learn efficient trail movement, wilderness safety, navigation skills, nutrition and hydration tips, and how to choose the right gear.

Private and custom offers

Level up! Want to master the art of map reading (offline and online) or how to efficiently plan a self-powered adventure? Need personal training or support for a specific outdoor goal? Interested in a team retreat? Talk to OutFit about booking private courses, training programs, guided excursions, and more. Typical minimum of 2 to 3 days of learning for most needs.

Overnight adventures

Dive deeper into nature through our overnight adventures. These 2 to 4 day guided hiking trips immerse you into the wild, give you space to put your skills into practice (or learn new ones!), and are simply fun! In a small group, we’ll hike hut-to-hut on some adventures and wild camp on others.
