FAQs

What’s included in the course?

The course is a 1-day guided hike that includes 5 learning modules that will be covered throughout the day. Transportation, meals, and insurance are not included.

What is the group size?

I keep the group sizes small (4-8 women) to ensure a high-quality experience.

What’s the schedule for the day?

You will receive a final schedule after you sign up, but here’s a sample schedule:

  • 9:00: Check-in

  • 10:00: Movement + techniques

  • 11:00: Wilderness awareness

  • 12:00: Lunch + food/hydration

  • 13:00: Navigation

  • 14:00: Gear

  • 16:00: Q&A + apero

  • 17:00: Departure

How difficult is the hike?

Hikes will be T1 on the Swiss trail scale (easy) and about 10KM so that we can focus on putting learning into action. While the route we follow will not be strenuous, participants should be ready to be on their feet for most of the day.

What do I bring?

You will receive a complete packing list after you sign up, but here is a quick overview:

  • A backpack that holds what you’ll carry

  • Lunch + snacks

  • A vessel for water

  • Comfortable outdoor footwear and socks (no cotton)

  • Moisture-wicking clothing

  • The “10 essentials” - navigation tool (map/GPS), sunglasses, sunscreen, rain jacket or poncho, hat, extra clothing layers, first aid kit, emergency blanket

  • Hiking poles (if you have them)

What about COVID measures?

Safety is always my #1 priority and that includes following rules for hygiene and behavior for COVID19. OutFit is part of Switzerland Tourism’s ''Clean & Safe'' campaign and follows the recommended safety measures issued by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) and the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). Please read my Terms and Conditions for more information.
